In previous years, we have been delighted with the Christmas tree that we have been given by Newport Council and for their help in lighting it. However, last year things were changed and the trees provided were so small and insignificant and caused such outrage by residents of Langstone and Llandevaud that they were all removed.
Following on from this the planting of a permanent tree on the hamlet green which could be decorated at Christmas time has been considered. It is also an idea under review by Newport LCC so we await the outcome. When there is more news we will give an update
