The Big Lunch

This was probably the best Big Lunch celebration to date; Its success was down to the efforts of so many, especially the sub committee formed a few weeks before hand and the input of so many in the community who joined in and contributed in some way. It included a competition for the biggest and best begonia which was judged by Ian Neale and won by Mrs Lewis, The trophy having been created by craftsman Tony Ford in the form of a flower spray. The celebration Cider for Wales in Bloom was also a big hit. From Dog Show to tractor rides and childrens races to the celebration cake cut by the mayor and mayoress it was outstanding. The grand raffle had some amazing prizes including a hot air balloon flight for two which was won by Carol.
