It is with sadness that we report that the future of Pencoed Castle is again in doubt following the news that Simon Wright, who was involved in an ambitious property development in Hayle, Cornwall has run into difficulties.

One of Mr Wright's companies Corinthian Pencoed, of which he is one of two directors, bought Pencoed Castle and surrounding land and properties in 2020 but Administrators have now been appointed as receivers of Corinthian Pencoed along with a series of other businesses linked to the collapse of the North Quay housing, leisure and retail scheme in Cornwall.
